Definition of Parts of Speech:
All the words in English are divided into 8 parts on the basis of their use in sentences, which is known as Parts of speech.
The way teachers are divided on the basis of work in a school, such as Physics teacher, Hindi teacher, Math teacher, so that the school can run well and the child can understand the subject well, in the same way, Words are divided into 8 parts. So that we can speak and write pure English.

1. Noun:-
Nouns are used to refer to people, places, things, ideas, concepts, etc.
Example: Sanjay is a nice boy. Patna is the best city.
2. Pronoun:-
A pronoun is used in place of a noun/noun phrase, or noun/noun phrases; Instead of using the same noun/noun phrase repeatedly, we use pronouns.
Example: Sanjay is a nice boy. He (Sanjay) gets up early in the morning.
3. Verb:-
Verb refers to another action or an ongoing situation. This is called the heart of the sentence.
Example: Sanjay is going home. He loves his home.
4. Adjective:-
Adjective modifies or describes the noun in the sentence.
Example: Ramesh loves his beautiful daughters. Their daughters also their caring father.
5. Ad-Verb:-
Adverbs modify or describe an Adjective, Verb or other Adverb. It answers questions such as: Since when?, Where?, How? or how much?
Example: He is running fast. She always reads very carefully.
6. Preposition:-
The word which shows the relation of a Noun or Pronoun with other words or words in the sentence, is called Preposition.
Example: I am going to Patna, Patna is in Bihar.
7. Conjunction:-
The word that works to join words, phrases, clauses or sentences is called Conjunction.
Example: Jaya loves chocolate and chips. She loves pasta, but she hates pizza.
8. Interjection:-
The word which expresses sudden happiness, sadness, happiness, surprise, or any other sense of mind is called Interjection.
Example: Oh! It sounds terrible. Hurry! They have won the match.
